LVCC-ARMOR
First
we all know that our Philippines national martial arts is Arnis, it was a stick
fighting and a hand combat. And it was originated in the Philippines, arnis is
just not a sport it was also a self-defense that we can use to any kind of
emergency or trouble. Especially when we know how to the technics of arnis. In basic handand also
DepEd include it in physical education in high school and also in college. We should
know and learned about these martial arts to help it to become more popular in
our country. And we should be proud of it we have our own original Martial Arts.
And
now one of the instructor in LVCC, Mr. Joemicco Salomon a teacher in Physical
Education build an Arnis Club named LVCC-ARMOR. And teaching, sharing his
knowledge about arnis in his students. He was aArnisador in his college life
time. He has a back ground of an athlete he was a varsity player of arnis in
Philippines Normal University. In the organization of Baxafra Armor. And he is
one of the best players of P.N.U in Arnis. He had played more fight/game, he
never be a champion in his game but he never go home without a medal. Three of
his game like in World Arnis-Kali competition he won a gold medal, Second fight
is NCR-SCUAA Arnis event he won again the gold medal. And the last game and
fight that he played was in the National Arnis competition he won a silver
medal.
After his succesfull in arnis
compitition Mr.Joemicco Salomon build the Arnis club in the month of February
28, 2010 and share his knowledge to his players. The first batch players
of ARMOR are Colin Serinina, Ofelia
Rosario, Jenny Manlangit, JessiMhar, Boybie Perez and Jeff Alvarez. this are
the first players of LVCC-Armor. That give different
honor in Laverdad Christian College. 
The first game or fight that they
play was “Arnis Pasindo Competition” all of them play in competition. One of
the player Jenny Manlangit Got a Gold Medal and others won a silver and got to
elimination round. It was there first game and it easy for them to get some
medal. The second game was in Baxafra Competition they play again and deffenitely they won again and
got one gold medal, two silver and I bronze. The player that won the gold medal
was Jenny Manlangit.
The
two player won the silver medal was Ofelia Rosario and Sarina. This players did
not expect that they gonna won a silver medal.
They are not afraid because ,
they
know to there self that they can difit the other players ang specially they
have faith and trust to God that give them strength to win the figth. and the
one who won the Bronze is Jesse Mhar. And Also Jenny Manlangit figth for the
best of the best in champion ship, and of course she won again. And the others
got only to the eliminationation round. But they our happy even they don’t have
medal but they our so proud to there team mates and to their self to give their
best to the game. 
Jenny Manlangit always enter to the
championship compitition she was also one of the best player of Sir Joms and also the others is a good
players even they got to play to the elimenation round. and they are happy to
be part of LVCC-ARMOR. This players do they best to win to every game that they
played. They never failed because they give honor to their school.
And now the Second batch of players or
what we called Juniors, Jennyrose
Arandela, Jean Casinillo, Lenzei Catalbas, Brayan Puro, Junix, Mariel Dincol,
and Mary Grace Salvania. For as sports arnis is not just a sport for us it was the sports that let ours
problems and stress forget even in just for a mean time. The first training we are just only four and
in another day we almost ten and become fifteen. Every time that we have a training we make it
serious but theres a time that we teasing each other, doing something, and
other kinds of laughtrip and also Sir joms joining us to our naugthyness. Theres a time when the basement is full of
water in the floor Sir joms will tell us to clean it up to start the training
and that was the warm-up but when we finish it he always say that we need to
warm-up again. That make us feel disappointed and make face. And laugh in front
of his players. But its ok with us it was fun for me and bonding with my team
mates everytime theres a training.
The First game
of the juniors is in Pasay, all of us played in the game that was the memorable
game for me even I did not won the game. But I did my best to the game and all
of us was happy to participate the game. And it was an experience to us. But two
of the players again Jenny Manlangit and Colin Serinina got to elemination
round to Champion Ship. Colin Serinina
won a bronze medal and Jenny got the Silver Medal . we go home with two medals
so we are not loss the game and we are proud to our seniors. But next time in
our next game this coming March 16 and 17 we gonna do our best to win the game
in the help of God.
We are
thankfull to our coach Mr. joemicco
Salomon to his long patient to his players. For us our coach is not just a coach he was
are friend, brother and like a father that guide his players. We can tell our
problem to him and get advice. That’s wahy we are thankful we have him. We are
to have a coach like him. He always thinking the good way to his palyer. He have
have thing that he tell to his players in one of ther meeting Sir Joms said “ok lang
na hindi kayo maka pag training, wag lang kayo mawala dito” that’s why the
players do there best to their academics and balance their time to the
training. And we are thankful to God to his Blessing that giving to our Club. Thanks
